BUILDING REGULATIONS

All buildings are required to comply with statutory Building Regulations for the works to mobilise and the completed work to be approved. This is an area of changing legislation, and it is important that the details submitted meet the required Building Regulations standards for the building to be approved for use. Our team constantly reviews the legislation to ensure we support our clients throughout their project as regulations are subject to change.

 
Building regulations encompass the Disability Discrimination Act, Fire Regulations and Environmental Impact Assessments.

The application for building regulations requires detailed design and Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) drawings. On submission of the application for approval of the plans, work can begin at your site. The building regulation inspectors will handle your application and make site visits to check progress throughout the life of the build.

 
The application can be submitted to either the local authority or through an approved Building Regulations Agent for approval.

Construction companies must provide certification at the end of the building project to ensure that the project is signed off for Building Regulations; this includes certificates from all sub-contractors prior to the Agent issuing the Final Certificate.
