Period Property Change of Use to Dental Practice Chester
Our brief was to obtain Listed Building Change of Use consents to convert two adjoining 19th century properties, within a conservation area, to a high end four surgery private Dental practice.
Due to the poor state of the main two storey property, and the formal commercial use of the lower single storey building, the interior walls and floors had to be replaced. The interiors then had to be completed refurbished and connected to form one.
The level access of the single storey building was the obvious entrance, however, the ground floor of the two-storey building was on a different gradient, so internal access to all the facilities was carefully considered.
A ramp, from the reception waiting room, was preferred to steps to allow better access for all. A corridor with screening and a fish tank wall linked the two properties.
